It's a lightweight ritual to help you process, reflect, and receive a gentle reminder: you're not alone. At Binky, your privacy is our top priority. We deeply value your trust and are committed to safeguarding your personal information.

This Privacy Policy is part of the User Agreement, which also includes our Terms of Service ("Terms"). It's designed to make sure you know what information we collect about you, how we use it, when we share it, and the controls we provide you to manage the information you share with us.

We collect data that you provide directly to us, as well as data we collect through your use of our services. Here's a breakdown:

Data You Provide to Us

Account Creation Data: Your name, phone number, and optionally your email. You may also provide information like your baby's birthdate, but that data is never shared without your explicit consent.

Check-in Data: Your mood, sleep, unmet needs, and reflections during check-ins.

AI Outputs: Personalized affirmations and validation generated based on your check-ins.

Data We Collect When You Use Our Services

Usage Data: Analytics on feature use, engagement, and app performance.

Connection and Technical Data: Account creation date, country / timezone, last login, operating system, and device identifiers.

  • Connection and Technical Data: Retained for no longer than 24 months.

We provide you with controls to manage your information and how you interact with Binky:

  • Notifications: You can control which notifications you receive about our services in the app settings.
  • Delete Account: You can delete your account at any time through the app settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Binky is not intended for children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use Binky. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.

9. International Data Transfers

Binky may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States, where our servers are located. To ensure your data is protected, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other approved mechanisms provided by Firebase and Google Cloud.
